Dana-Farber Cancer Institute
First up is Andi Sklar, who dedicates her time and resources to Dana-Farber — a cause near and dear to her heart. Andi had been a volunteer for local charity events for many years, but that all changed when in 2016, her step-father Jimmy was diagnosed with lung cancer and was treated at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute.
Immaculate Care
Thankful for the immaculate care he received there, Dana-Farber became an invaluable cause to Andi and her family. Unfortunately, Jimmy passed away in November 2017. But without Dana-Farber’s amazing doctors, Andi wouldn’t have had the quality time she did with him over those 16 months. She will be forever thankful and is paying it forward by giving back to the DFCI.
