Planned Parenthood
You may know her as wife to former Pistons baller and New York Knicks coach Isiah Thomas, but Lynn Thomas has a playbook of her own. The New Yorker is dedicated to supporting Planned Parenthood, which she says delivers vital reproductive health care, sex education and information to women, men and young people worldwide.
Support Without Benefits
Lynn has been inspired to support the organization since first visiting them in college, before she had a full-time job with benefits. Without Planned Parenthood, I might not have taken the time to get a breast exam and cancer screenings,
she remembers. Today, Lynn contributes financially to the organization and deeply admires acting President and CEO Alexis McGill Johnson.
Women’s Rights
Alexis is working hard to prevent women’s reproductive rights from being taken away,
Thomas adds. She also understands the importance of the other services Planned Parenthood offers to help those who need affordable healthcare, screenings and education.
